OOTY

Ooty also known as Udhagamandalam and called as "Queen of hill stations" in india and Ooty is the capital of Nilgiris district. Ooty is one of the most popular tourist resorts in India. Some peoples called iy as Nilgiris, means "Blue Mountains". The Nilgiris Hills including Ooty, Coonoor, Kotagiri & Gudalur .
Ooty is 90 km from Coimbatore, 301 km from Bangalore, 160 km from Mysore, 537 km from Chennai, you can reach by Road, Air & Train.
Ooty to be popular summer and weekend getaway for the Britishers during the colonial days. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240 meters above sea level. the mountain train journey on a ratchet and pinion track which commences from Kallar, near Mettupalayam and wends its way through many hair-raising curves and fearful tunnels .
